The most important elements of design for 3j Workshop designer Victor Tanisaka is special attention to detail and the cut of the shirt. His approach to quality design includes, among other virtues, a willingness to recognize the importance of using shapes that flow with and flatter the body in cut and adornment.
3j Workshop was founded in the Summer of 2004 by Tanisaka and is a member of the Johnny Was family, owned by the Levite family and Ofer Oz. The brand originally began with women's wear only but in Spring 2006, 3J Workshop introduced men's shirts. With special attention to the arrangement of lines vertically and horizontally, as well as forms that flow with the figure, the brand became quickly popular with Hollywood celebrities and musicians.
Tanisaka finds inspiration for his designs through many sources, including but not limited to Art Nouveau paintings, Persian blankets and Spanish tiles.
