Joie was founded in 2001 with the focus of providing fashion aficionados with a brand that didn't fit in a specific classification, but instead allowed for a "global wardrobe". They are best known for their women's clothing, tops, dresses and cashmere sweaters specifically.

Joie was inspired by the comings and goings of Southern California with its combination of casual and sophisticated styling.
